Hi,

Just wanted to find out if you will let your baby play with unfamiliar big dogs?

The reason I ask is because I will carry my baby away when I see an unfamiliar big dog because I am afraid they will hurt him even if they are only playing due to their size. The only ones I trust him with are the big breed puppies that he is playing with now and will grow up together. Am I doing the right thing or am I over worried?

The other day, a woman with a very very big dog wanted to let her dog play with mine but I really didn't want to any chances of my baby being hurt so I politely declined. Also, there is this 5 months old boxer puppy living in our block that is huge compared to mine...I also politely declined because the boxer seems too rough..I wonder what do the owners think of me? I am afraid I will come by as being snobbish to them as I do see them often living in the same block. Besides that, I am uncomfortable with big black dogs that looks like a Rottie or a Dobby due to a childhood experience. I am not sure if this has influenced me in choosing who to let him play with. What does everyone else think?
