I know just how you feel...it is soooo disgusting and I've heard a lot of people that have dogs and cats having this problem and having to put the litterbox up.

Maddie never showed any interest in eating poop until one day when I let her out to go potty. She was walking around sniffing and next thing I know, she's rolling on the ground...then stands up and starts eating something. I run to her to find it's poop! I was totally grossed out...and it stunk to high heaven! I carried her in at arms length and bathed her and cleaned her mouth and brushed teeth and then called my vet. I thought it may be raccoon poop, so he had me come up to get some wormer and a pill for her because raccoon poop carries some deadly parasites. Ugh! I don't know for sure who's poop it was...just know it wasn't her own because I always keep hers picked up each time she goes. She's never done it since..."knock on wood!" And...she darn well better not do it again! LOL
