I had a very dear uncle that contracted Hep C through a blood transfusion during open heart surgery in the early 80's before they started testing the blood. He died in 96 when ethan was just 2 1/2 months old. All the best to your mom, dad & all of your family. Hopefully treatments have came a long way since.
