
That is scary. We live with red tailed hawks around. But worse than that are the cyotes! We had a bassett hound years ago and he used to go out with us watching without a leash. We would stand right next to him and he never gave us trouble. One night he saw something up the street and went tearing after it. It was 3 cyotes! They really bit him up badly. My husband was able to scare them off. But boy was the vet bill expensive. Poor thing he was trying to protect us. He survived and lived to a ripe old age. But I learned my lesson and never take Daisy out without a leash. She would not fare as well as our old Bassett did against cyotes. Well that is the price to pay for living in a rural area
