I am in Canada, at 65 neither me nor my dogs would need a coat but that would be because we are acclimatized to our area. If you are in the south and are used to hotter temps, then 65 would likely feel cold to you and your little one. So you would do the same thing, put a sweater or light jacket on you and a sweater or light jacket on the Yorkie but watch she isn't getting overheated. IF she is running and playing she may get too warm. You can take it off but put it back on if she seems cold
Coat type will make a difference, a thinner silkier coat or a short hair cut will be different from a thicker soft coated yorkie or one that wasn't cut short.
