Question Could wet food cause upset tummy?

Hey everyone, have a quick question regarding the puppy food. Nemo has been eating a mix of dry and wet food for over a month now. He started with the Merricks dry food but there came a time he just stopped eating it altogether and we switched him to the Innova. He liked that one but we did notice that he was very itchy after the switch so we switched him yet again to the Wellness dry food to go along with the Wellness wet food he's been eating all along.

Everything was fine and dandy until Wednesday when he picked at his food in the morning and barely ate any at all. I didn't think much of it since he can be such a picky eater at times but I got a little worried when he finally ate a little bit at night and proceded to throw up. Next morning the same thing happened so we boiled some rice and chicken for him in the evening and he was a-okay with that. He had a vet appt. on Friday so I decided to try just the dry food and there was no problem with that so I did the same in the evening. The vet said he was probably eating too fast and it was upsetting his stomach and that I should really worry if he started throwing up constantly and got mopey which thankfully hadn't happened, he's been as playful as ever.

Anyway, I stuck to the dry food again this morning and had no problem so I added the wet food this evening. As soon as he ate it he threw it up so I'm thinking it's the wet food for sure. I'm just wondering what the problem could be as he's been eating the same wet food since we started feeding him with no problem. I checked the expiration date again just to be sure I hadn't picked up a bad batch by mistake but all of them have the same expiration date of March 2009. Could they become allergic to the food? He's perfectly fine and quite hungry to boot so we're just boiling up more chicken and rice for him now but I was just wondering if anybody else had had the same prob.
