What I use for every day use is the 100 pack of very small tiny kid's schrunchies that you can get at the dollar store or walmart. They do not break hair off. I use these daily in between having to use the bands and attached bows. They come in paks of 100 with every color in the rainbow. I am using orange at this time for Halloween season. I really love these...because they don't break the hair off like a true band. If you do use the bands...try to find you a pair of "band nippers" as I call them...(small tiny scissors with a moon shape on one edge) for cutting the band out.
