 Yorkie's coat
Hi, I have a female Yorkie (Kady) who I love dearly. She is 9 1/2 pounds, one year old, and hasn't got the full coat you see everywhere in books and online. She has the black and tan coloring, but there's no way her coat reaches the floor (instead just under her belly) and it's more ragged looking, cotony in places. The hair on top of her head is a bit silky, but not nearly long enough for a bow. She's my little love, but I'm wondering if she's an Australian terrier since she looks so "wild" and curly even. Or maybe Yorkie's don't get their full coats for another year or so?? Can anyone tell me if it takes that long to get the full Yorkie coat? thnx |
