(2) As to the rough play, if Cash is going back it is probably not as bad as it sounds. I believed that Bruce was becoming horribly aggressive because he would growl and snarl and some dogs that were overly pushy in their play with him, so I took him to a behaviorist and spent a fortune having him evaluated. First, older dogs naturally correct pups when their behavior is "socially unacceptable" and to us it sometimes sounds/looks worse than it actually is. Secondly, yorkies are terriers they are naturally wrestly and wild and prone to some rough play. I would not worry that much if the other dog has been properly socialized. But if not then I would feel no shame in saying that you are uncomfortable and setting boundaries. |
