Ollie is in heat now, she's 10 months old. Her next heat should be in April, right?

Is the 6 month rule pretty accurate, or does it vary?

Here is the dilemma, if I breed her in April, she will be due in June. My niece is getting married in June. The wedding is 6 hours away.

I really don't want to miss this breeding, but I don't want to miss the wedding either.

Have any of you ever encountered this problem? What did you do? Either she will be very close to due, or the puppies will be brand new.

Should I plan to board her at the vets? Would the stress of that cause her to whelp early? Is traveling with her even an option?

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
