First of all I don't show dogs so can't really give an opinion on that, but I think she is actually very pretty. Try supplementing her with an Omega 3 and 6 fatty acid supplement and I bet her coat will be much better.
By the way, I didn't think you were trying to be mean by calling her an ugly duckling. That's the problem with forums like this - they don't know you and cannot hear the inflection in your tone.
