I'm hoping you mean "Pain" as in feeling it intensely while you are doing the movements. If you are feeling pain following a Pilates workout (even the next day) then something is not right. You will "feel" muscles you didn't know you had, especially when you first begin, but there shouldn't be anything more than that with Pilates. The movements are both stretching and strengthening at the same time, and repititions are minimal seeking perfection with each repetition, so there is no tearing of muscle tissue (which is what causes pain). If this isn't how your class is being taught, then you really aren't doing Pilates - just another exercise class that is using the trendy name!!
