We had a similar problem with the children in our rural subdivision. When they got off the bus, some would gather rocks, or drag sticks down the chain link fence. My heelers would go crazy. I gathered the children one day and explained to them that what they were doing was dangerous. These dogs are protecting the property. Anyway, the little talk didn't work. My husband finally went to the children's parents and talked to them nicely. The children denied it, but it sure was strange that they never teased my dogs again. Maybe a nice visit to your neighbor might help. |
