It gets both easier and yet more taxing over time. Although the movements will become more familiar, the less you have to focus to keep the abs & ribs contracted inward to the spine, the deeper you will work those muscles.

A word of caution when doing the leg movements - the entire rest of your body should be perfectly still - no hips or shoulders wobbling, the back shouldn't be lifting or shifting (when on the back) and the leg needs to continue reaching longer and longer throughout the movement. The movements should be very precise and exact. No momentum (with any of the movements) carrying you along. Range of motion should be contained to where you can keep the body completely still, with abs/ribs contracted - even if that means you aren't moving very far. Controlled and small is always going to get more results than big, slopping movements.

Okay - done being an instructor for the night. Off to bed to prepare for my 5:30am class tomorrow!!!
