This is really great reading about all this. I have often wondered if mine were the only one's who did this as they got older, LOL! I did have a girl in the past who did this until they were over 12 weeks!

I love Mardelin's "diapering". May I use that term in the future? It sounds so much better than "she's still eating their poop" LOL LOL

I have 6 1/2 week olds and Mom is not "diapering" them anymore. She's had enough. She nurses a little here and there but they are most definitely enjoying their puppy mush now. As the little teeth continue to come in, I've been mixing a few pieces of kibble in with their soft food. I "think" that when they are strictly nursing, as most of you who have had pups know...the poop has a different smell, almost a "milky" smell in itself. As they get on puppy food, it changes and thats usually when Mom's stop the diapering. Notice I said "usually" LOL
