I did print work for a little bit, and it is amazing what a editor can do to blemishes, waist size, height ect... And the proof (un-touched picture) that gets marked up is what's scary. All the notes, **Thick thighs, wide nose, red spots, bags, wrinkles (I was 22!!)***Complete with circles in red to hi-lite the "problem areas". They took all my moles out of the picture and thought I'd be thrilled, but I wasn't, that wasn't me. I'm not a moley person, but the ones I have add character. They've also moved my belly-button and taken it out completely. It can be depressing to say the least and your the model, your supposed to be hot!
| I once had a photo shoot where they also took out all of my moles! I thought it was the weirdest thing. The pics looked good but knowing my own body, it seemed so un-natural. Most models are airbrushed to perfection and it's sending the wrong message to young girls. |
