This is slightly on topic with the thread...
I did print work for a little bit, and it is amazing what a editor can do to blemishes, waist size, height ect... And the proof (un-touched picture) that gets marked up is what's scary. All the notes, **Thick thighs, wide nose, red spots, bags, wrinkles (I was 22!!)***Complete with circles in red to hi-lite the "problem areas". They took all my moles out of the picture and thought I'd be thrilled, but I wasn't, that wasn't me. I'm not a moley person, but the ones I have add character. They've also moved my belly-button and taken it out completely. It can be depressing to say the least and your the model, your supposed to be hot!
On the bright side, I discovered Adobe Photoshop, and have learned to remove pimples and temporary blemishes (smudged make-up). My friends made fun of me because I'd do them if they were in the picture too. I just figured,
1. Pimples aren't forever, pictures are forever, why remember that zit that had it's own zip code.
2. It would have been rude to not fix their pimple and do mine. |
