NOT !
it is SO hard to be a woman with all the glitz and surgery around us now - it's like no one has their own lips or boobs anymore ....take a young girl with expectations of becoming pretty - and that's all gone for them - they can BUY it now - That's what they're exposed to - it's no wonder our kids are doing wilder and wilder things at younger ages.
What are these girls going to look like at age 35 or 40 ?? With the multiple surgeries people are getting done on themselves ..I hate to think of what happens when the bod starts to go. |
It makes it so very important what message mothers send to their young daughters. If they believe their whole worth is in their looks, they are going to be in big trouble sometime.
But mothers can give that message when they focus on how they look more than who they are. They see our examples not only in what we say but more in what we wear and trying every fad diet or new drug that comes out to lose weight. It is not unusual at all to see toddlers having their hair highlighted & permed. When the parents do that, they are teaching those precious little girls that they aren't good enough as God made them.
Heaven only know what message they are receiving when their parents buy them the little sexy outfits to wear, high heels & such even in elementary school. We are absolutely robbing them of their childhood.
I also think that is what makes them insensitive to those who don't share their looks or body shape or youth.
Oops there I go again.
