Our mailbox is an original steel lamp post. The dang dog across the street, pees and poos on the base of it. One day I was coming home and the dang dog's owner was standing there with him while he did his business. They have a fenced yard, but don't want to clean up their own dogs' crap. This dang dog has peed on my mailbox so many times, that the acid is eating away the steel. That particular day, she asked me what color I used on the post and she would paint it. I told her forget it. Recently, I used StripEase and stripped it down to the bare metal. She pulled up and asked what color I was going to paint it. I told her I was leaving it UGLY so maybe your dog will quit Pissing on it. Her mouth fell open. Since then, I have had my mailbox rocked. I don't know who was more offended by me rocking the mailbox---her or the dog.
