There can be however, other causes for low sperm count. First check for any infections including the teeth. Do they need cleaning are any infected?
If that checks out you may want to do a thyroid test, sometimes a thyroid out of whack can cause a low sperm count.
If it does all boil down to a low hormone problem or thyroid problem, I would not recommend him for breeding purposes if you have to artificially bring up the sperm count.
It may not pass on to sons but certainly can pop up again further down the line.
He has not had his teeth cleaned for almost two years now, since his diet i 100% dry food. I'm curious, how does dirty teeth impact sperm count?
