Becca has some great ideas! My dogs also love green beans straight from the can. I even use them as a treat. Even a short walk will do Jerry a lot of good. Just remember, anytime you put a dog on a weight loss diet you need to monitor him closely, especially a toy dog. Always let your vet know what dietary changes you are planning to make. It wouldn't hurt to run him in to the vet for a quick weight check after a week or so. A lot of the most popular dog foods are loaded with fat. I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised at how quickly Jerry will be back to his stud muffin weight!
