I hold her, I hold him.,...still not working. And he gets distracted if I trying to push his rear in closer on her. She's standing perfect for him. He's shorter than her but I don't think thats too big of deal.
Breeders? Any advice? He's young, 9 months and this is his first experience. |
i could have written this post at Ceeby's first breeding. He is smaller than Silk was, He finally got her outside when I had them out to potty. She was standing perfectly still in a flat place in the yard and he came up behind her on a little tiny hill. I started running just in case and by the time i got there, he had her. he had tried for two or three days and had worn himself out. You might also try placing a pillow or phone book under him. It does distract them but when they get to a certain point, they don't care. My next dog that came into heat drove him crazy. he knew what it was like and I swear I got worried. he wouldn't eat and tried to do it thru the crate. I wish you had seen his actions trying to get to her. But now on his first breeding with Silk, he ran from her the first day she was ready for him. he got in his rabbit chair when she was flirting and gave her this look of leave me alone gal. it was so cute but it didn't take him long to figure it all out. He was eleven months old.
