It is so encouraging to hear stories such as this. Earlier this year I had written to both the gov's office & dept of tourism to protest the puppy mills in Lancaster Co, Pa. I received a very encouraging reply from both offices but have to admit, I really didn't think they would follow through.
Apparently if enough people complain it does help. I had told them that for the past 10 years or so, we had been visiting Lancaster Co, Pa at least once & usually more times a year. I also stated that after our last visit in May in which I actually visited one of the Amish puppy mills, we would not be returning as long as this type of business was permitted.
