I don't think your being crazy at all. If it was me i'd be VERY suspicious cause I heard somewhere that if you cut a dogs nail too short and they bleed they'll remember it for life. So that would probably have the same effect with grooming? I would take my yorkie somewhere that I can watch her while shes being groomed. Especially after all the stories i've heard.
