I would just say in a very nice voice when you call, tell them that if you promise to keep Peanut confined and not let him jump up and down on and off the couch and/or bed and you promise not to let him walk up and down stairs, is there anyway they will let you bring him home instead of spending the night. The whole reason they want the dogs to spend the night is because they don't trust the owners to keep the dog confined and not let them do things like stairs and jump on and off the couch/bed. I'm sure if you tell them that you are aware of this and you PROMISE to not let him do these things, then they'll let you bring him home. That is what my vet did, at least. I promised her all these things and she let me bring Hobbs home the night after his surgery even though she makes all the other dogs spend the night. |
