I think it is different with each vet.

One of the vet's here require three sets of shots and if they are atleast 12 weeks old when they get their third set of shots, then they don't need anymore until next year. So if you got their shots at 6, 9 and 12 weeks old, then you woulden't need anymore shots until next year with this vet. Their rule for a rabies shot is that it can be given anytime as long as they are over 3 months old.

Another vet in the same county, requires 4 sets of shots and here is where they get you. If you don't come in by the three week intervals, you have to start the series of shots all over again. So if you got their second set of shots at 9 weeks old you would have to come in when they are 12 weeks old to get their third set of shots. If you are late by a week and get them done at 13 weeks old, they make you start the shots all over. This is overkill to me. Not only are they over vaccinating but they are also taking your money by doing this.

But for the majority of the vet's here, they only require three sets of shots.

You just have to be careful with certain vets and really check them out and ask alot of questions.
