Jack really has no bad habits that would indicate abuse. I'm thinking he might have had a good home until the very end. Maybe a good owner died or had to leave him and the people left with him didn't take care of him.
And chattiesmom, I didn't realize he had all four legs off the ground in that first pic! Now I like it even better. I just take pics of them every single day and get lucky every now and then!
