If he isn't actually trying to attack (bite) other dogs, probably the more time that he spends around other dogs, the better he will behave with them. It would also be very worth your time to take him to an obedience class. Besides, they're fun!

I have thought about taking him to Petsmart classes, but do they have ones for stubborn 1 year olds? Stump has tons of problems, and I know they gurantee the training so if he starts doing it again they will train him for free.
