We have a motorhome that we bought a few years ago. We used it rather infrequently since we were both employed. It was nice when we traveled though...no wondering who slept in the bed before us, etc.
We ended up living in it for a year while our house was being built in FL. We stayed in a very nice campground and things worked out really well. We had no real problems living in it space wize, etc.
Even though it was perfectly fine in there for a year, I found I am the kind of person that needs a place to call "home". I need space, nik naks, pictures on the walls, etc.
I've met people who are full timers and love it. I just found that I couldn't do it myself. I think what you should do is travel some and spend time in an rv before you decide to give everything up. See how you feel after a while not having a place to go back to. I have also heard a couple of stories where people sold everything they had, bought a motorhome and then decided they weren't happy. So, you should give it lots of thought and a test drive before making a final decision.
Hope this helps. |
