  Like others have said, be careful with a kitten because you'll have to watch the claws with your Yorkie.  Hopefully, your pup will take to the kitten right away.  My daughter's Ragdoll cat (Princess, 13 lbs) stayed with us in the Spring for 8 weeks.  She played wonderfully well with Sissy (4 lbs) and would tolerate Sissy biting/tugging on her ears.  When Princess would swipe at Sissy (Princess is declawed), Sissy just thought that was great fun.  When Princess had enough, she would jump places that Sissy couldn't get to.  They had a great time together and Sissy was sad when Princess went home with my daughter!!
