i don't think it would matter but does your dog like cats been around them before? mine like cats and if you got a kitten the cat would get use to the dog but you should make sure the dog likes cats 1st some dogs just don't like cats at all and can get hurt the cat may clwa them or so on be careful but they should be fine.
