The same exact thing happened to me. Our first yorkie was a gift from my parents because my husband refused to pay over around $500 or $600 for a yorkie. Then he fell in love with the breed and he actually suggested that we buy a second one ourselves. We spent $900 on our second one and my hubby didn't blink an eye at the price. Now that he loves the 2 we have so much, I think he will let me spend more on one next time, but that will be after one of the two we have now passes.

I would suggest looking for a local breeder. Maybe your husband will fall in love with the breed, too, and you can get a puppy from the breeder out in LA when you get a second yorkie. Yorkies do better in pairs anyway. They are very social animals andn really like to have a little playmate.
