I just found out yesterday morning that my 2 1/2 pound 4 year old Yorkie has kidney failure. I have her blood tests and I wasn't able to go to the vet with my husband to ask questions so I have lots more. I don't know what some of these terms mean and I have been on the internet searching for over 4 hours and our local library. You gave a high number in your thread. Brittney's BUN level is 130 which the vet said is high. Her CREA is 3.7 and her PHOS is 13.6. Can you relate any of these figures do your dog? She seems fine right now but last night was the second night I was up with her all night. Night before last she had trouble breathing and last night she was jerking her head and very weak. She ate her breakfast this morning which included medicine from the VET - Epakitin. Does anybody have any advice or know what is going on? THANK YOU.
