Emma gets both hiccups and those gosh-awful reverse sneezes.
The hiccups can last anywhere from a minute to 20 minutes! I think it's cute when she does that-it's so funny, and the look on her face!
The reverse sneezes sound AWFUL!!! I have taken her to the vet 3 separate times for this, thinking her little trachea is collapsing, or that she can't breathe. Each time-they say it's her allergies and there's nothing to worry about. The final time I took her was Friday morning. She's been getting "attacks" of these sneezes, which my husband was really concerned about, and he thought it was asthma. Again, vet checked her over, took temp, looked down her throat, listened to her breathing, and once again, just allergies, nothing to worry about. She did give Emma cough medicine w/steroids for a few days to help the problem.
I think it's working-and now that it's cold out, there are fewer allergens in the air to bother my baby's nose. |
