You definitely want it big enough for him to stand up comfortably...if not, it will seem like you're stuffing him in there! LOL

I wanted to buy a black bag that Target's carrying now, and of course, can't take Max into the store to see how the bag fits him...I asked at the customer service counter if I could bring him in to see if the bag is the right size, and she said no, BUT, did say that I could bring Max up to the door, one of the security guards would bring the bag out & hold it while I put Max in it. LOL I haven't tried it yet, but it's a thought!
