My yorkie sleeps with me on my bed since she was 3 months old. My trick is since my bed is against a wall I put her against the wall so she has to climb over me to fall over
I never had a problem with her falling cause she doesn't get up at night and walk around on the bed. If you decide to let her out of the crate just be sure that when you turn around she doesn't fall off
