Hi Actress and Lexi, welcome to YorkieTalk. I don't really know exactly what makes Yorkies shake (I call it shivering). I know Bo will also shiver when chilled. He also shivers when he's nervous or in a stressful situation like at the vets office or at the groomers. I was able to calm Bo's nervous shivering in the car by putting him in his crate and covering it with a throw. He calms down, doesn't whine and rests till we get where we're going. My Schnauzer doesn't shiver. My mom's maltese does. Maybe it's a toy dog thing?? Guess I'm not a lot of help but I do know that it's pretty common among Yorkies.
