sounds like my Bruce's coat which is more cottony. This is not something that you cannot deal with however, with the right products. I use a wellness brand supplement in his food for coat which has helped, although I am going to switch to missing link which I hear is even better. I also use a silicone based silker for his coat like pet silk and it gives him a silky appearance. However I checked with my vet before using anything silicone like on him and suggest the same for everyone.
