I can relate. I brought my Melody into the marriage. At first, she was jealous of him but now she favors him. He spoils her rotten (as if I don't) and she gives only him kissess!!
On the other hand, my Kiro (male cat) only goes to him when he wants or needs something..............he is such a user!!! He purrs at me, sleeps with me and kisses only me.........lol
