Thank for sharing that!!! |
$10.00 a week, WOW! I go 50 cents to 1.00. But then, the movies were $.25, a pack of gum $.05, I babysat for $.50/hr. When I got my first job, I got $1.00/hr in a diner. My first real F/T job brought me a $47.00 weekly paycheck, with $75.00/mo going to my first car, a 3 yr. old loaded Cougar. You could get a brand new Mustang or VW Bug for $1995.00 and gas was around $.25/gal. And the music was the best there ever was!!! You could understand the words and it wasn't embarassing to listen to with your parents around (it didn't even hurt your ears). Noone ever locked their doors and kids could play outside after dark and not be afraid. What will the world be like in another 20 years? Scary thought.
