The first and only time I've taken my dogs to the groomer she did that. As the hair grew out, it just poked right into their eyes!! Causing much more tearing. Unless you are vigilant about keeping it short it will do that. IMO. I'm still working on growing my girls out on their nose. It doesn't poke into their eyes any more, but it sticks straight out on each side and looks hilarious!
