I think the breeder may have clipped Sadies nails to short before I got her...She acts like a mad dog when I try to clip them...I have tried everything from nail drill (the kind the nail tech's use) to a dog nail file...she wouldn't stand for it. This is what I do now and it seems to work..When I give her a bath I put water in the sink (just enough to cover her feet, I usually just use the hose to bathe her) this will soften the nails. After I soap her up I tell her how good she is and then start clipping..I'm not saying that she LOVES it this way but It is much easier and she stands pretty still..Lillie (my new furbaby 17 wks old) she just sits there and watches what I am doing..
