Default Are you supposed to trim the hair above a yorkie's nose and around the eyes?

My yorkie is almost 5 months and today was her first trip to the groomer. I wanted her to have the hair around her feet trimmed a little, have her nails clipped and also have the hair on her ears trimmed. When I picked her up (and I didn't notice this until after I left) I realized that the reason I could see her adorable little face so much better and there wasn't hair in front of her eyes anymore was because the groomer trimmed the hair down right above the nose...and also around the eyes a little. Now you can see her face so much better, she looks soo cute! I am wondering if that is something that is commonly done to yorkies? I see pictures of other yorkies and it doesn't seem like it. Usually the hair just parts down the middle of the nose. Anyway, she looks great now but I am wondering what is going to happen when it starts growing back? It is a great thing now because her eyes have discharge sometimes and it was difficult to clean around her eyes because it got stuck in all the hair and now her face is so much cleaner. But like I said, I don't know what will happen when it starts growing back...has anyone else had this done to their yorkie?
