As to the original question, the only time mine eat table food is week-ends we are at the deer camp and then it's only a scrambled egg with a bit of rice and cheese. I can't leave their hard food out as it might attract mice and, I'm sorry, but I'm NOT sharing my home up there with a field mouse!!! I'll put their hard food out but when we go to bed, it's picked up and sealed up! By scrambling an egg for them (and I drizzle just a tad bit of honey on it), at least I know they are eating something.....and I don't take them to the camp every week-end.
Sometimes Hobbs won't eat his food either! So this week I started putting just a little bit of the Parmesean cheese on there and he definately gobbles it up! It is not shredded cheese...it is the grated kind...so it really is too small for them to pick out and it sticks to the kibbles really well.
