You should defintely switch him to Adult food at some point - when you decide to is up to you and your vet recommendations (some switch as early as 8mths, some wait until 18mths).

This is what the Royal Canin website says about it:
"Small breed dogs reach adulthood at approximately 10 months of age. Puppy food is significantly higher in protein and fat, with dramatically different nutrient levels needed for growth and development. This combination makes it unsuitable for the nutritional requirements of an adult dog and likely to contribute to obesity."

A good "rule of thumb" is to switch to adult food when the puppy has attained 90% of its growth - I would say that based on this, your little guy is probably ready to make the switch - just make sure you do it gradually and mix them together!
