I've never heard of anything like that in my life. I'm so, so sorry you had such a terrible experience. I'm equally sorry your little one had such a bad experience, because that is probably one that she'll never forget and it will very well cause her to be terribly fearful when going to the vet.

I'm inclined to think that their instruments were unclean when they did the spay. Otherwise, there should not have been any infection at all. I feel so bad for both of you. At least, though, you had the will to stand up to her and not let them treat your little one that way any more. A lot of people wouldn't have done that. So, kudos to you!
