Just wanted to welcome you to YT and tell you that I did exactly the same thing. I didn't get another dog after my Yorkie died years ago and then after the kids left home & the grandkids started school, I got Little Bit, my second Yorkie. Best wishes on finding your nest filler.
I wasn't completely Yorkieless all those years because my daughter & sil got one not long after they married so I could play with theirs whenever I wanted.
