I use a metal-type pen (no floor) for my Rowdy. We have a huge den with stained concrete floor and so I set up the "pen" and put papers on the floor (he really doesn't need them anymore becasue he doesn't "go" in the pen). I keep a bed and lots of toys in there. It is about 3 feet tall and is in attached sections so that you can make it any size or shape you want it. We traveled to relatives last week and I took it with us, set it up in their den (vinyl floor) so that I could put him in it when lots of people were in the house to keep him from getting stepped on. He knows it is his "home", he will go in there to take a nap, even though there is a bed for him and our other dog out in the main part of our den. We will be taking the pen with us this summer as we go to the mountains in our travel trailer. We'll use it outdoors to keep him contained when we can't watch him constantly (we camp right beside a river). |
