I have 4 dogs, Yorkie, Jack Russell, Ger Shep, and Golden Ret. I always use frontline and didn't think I needed to get the Lyme shot. My Shep and Jack have both tested positive for Lyme, the Shep has never had any symptoms, but my Jack has. It is awful to watch her go through the pain of a Lyme disease attack. I am sorry that I didn't get the shot for them. My Yorkie had the shot as soon as he could and the only reaction he had was his leg got stiff and sore for a day. My golden also recieves the shot, she tests negative. I know Yorkies will sometimes have reactions to shots, so you need to discuss this with your vet beforehand.
