OMG.....I have a almost 4 year old female and we just found out that she is pregnant...(we were told that she could not get pregnant)....I have read and read and talked to my vet and tried to get ready for the unexpected, but I'm still scared to death...and after reading all this you have wrote, I am now scared sh##less!!!! I was informed about the possible C section and have Dr. number ready, informed about the shots, tail, and claws, but my vet never said anything about checking on the pups every 90 min. Luckily I am a stay-at-home mommy to my yorkies as well, so we have cleared our schedule to be home with her until the babies are older.....she is due last week of Oct. I just appreciate that you have shared your information....the 'not so fun' information with me, so that I can get better prepared for this event! Any other info that you think I might can use, me let me know!!! We are excited about the new arrival, but we also want to be prepared! We have helped birth kittens before, but this is our first time with yorkies (dogs period). Is there anything you didn't mention above that we need to expect or look out for? Sorry if I'm trying to be an information hog....the computer is sometimes vague. |
